Commission for :iconsaeth-kaleanae: of his character Baree - he can be found at:

This is the first time I've ever drawn a fat-tailed dwarf lemur. XD
(And yeah, I know blue-colored water is so cliché, but I'm using markers here, so my choices were kind of limited.)

I'm happy with how it came out!

EEEEEE! A Fat-Tailed Dwarf Lemur!! These guys are just too cool!
I can't believe all the details in this pic! The water- The fur- EVERYTHING! It must've taken so long! @.@ I can't even begin to imagine! I wish I had the markers for that kind of thing, though!
Everything is just so beautiful on this! I'm at a loss for words!!
But I DO know that I would definitely commission you, AND I need to check out your gallery after seeing this amazing piece of art! ^^

Thank you! I'm glad you like it! It took me oh, I don't know, about a week to finish it, but I was only working on it for a couple of hours each day. :)

Was worth every minute ^^ Can't wait for it to arrive so I can frame it and hang it on the wall.
As I have said over and over, wow! You do a freakin' great job with markers! I love the whole effect of the picture! XD I love how you have used the markers for the water, making it all look so fluid and rippley! I think it's a great effect!

You should really get into illustration, if you have not done so already XD And it only took you about a week as well? Something like that would take me a life time! This is stunning work.

I love all the little details, the leaves, the little splashes of water around the rocks, the rocks, the different textures...wow...I love the texture of the branches and how you coloured the little leaves and the reeds too!

And wow! Goodness, you draw all this on one layer of paper, no photo editing or anything! I think that's amazing, it may seem a little strange to say that, albeit every great artist of the past worked like that, but wow! I just think it's a brilliant skill, you have such an eye for detail, and it's something that is perhaps lost nowadays with all the photo editing options and stuff out there...I just find it wonderful how Baree is in the foreground, and prominently so, the big thick coloured lines on the branches and himself and the foreground rocks and everything, compared to the faintly colour outlined background trees!

That's a great effect! It gives a great sort of depth to the picture! It's like Baree and his twigness have been stuck on to the background it's so pristine looking! Wow! I'm just amazed by your skill and talent and patience!

AND NOW, on to the main subject of the picture...wowness! I love how you have draw little Baree! I've never seen him look so lemurish! And I am LOVING that tail! How it's all faint underneath and it brushes out to the darker grey...it looks so real I wanna touch it! I love how you have adopted at style in which he looks so life like and yet he looks cartoony as well ^_^ The anatomy is great XD I love his little paws! And wow, look at those eyes!

I have never seen his yellow fishing hat look so awesome either! XD And the water jug and his little fishy necklace! I love how that came about XD I think it was misinterpretation of the reference sheet thing I drew for him ages ago where the pull threads for his hat ended up looking like a necklace with a fishy charm on it XD It's nice to see it in so many of his little fan arts and stuff!

All in all, this is a gorgeous picture, and wow...I just really admire your talent...You...you just inspire me...I want to break out the coloured pencils and go nuts!

XD

Beautiful work! And keep up the great work too! <3333
